Photos 1999-2003 > Miscellaneous Photography 1999-2002

This is a great catch-all gallery. I've scanned tons of pictures, and some really great ones just don't have a spot on any of the other galleries up to this point. I've also wanted to highlight some of my better nature shots... the obvious solution was to create one more page that throws them all together. It's a lot of fun, and it will surely expand into future galleries. These cover approximately 1999-2002.

From my junior year: the first semester Basic Electronics class pinup. Good ol' Smiley from our junior year. Not to be outdone, this is the 2nd semester Basic Electronics class pinup. When both halves of our 101 class met in person, we took this shot. A picture from one of the few live performances U.S. 52 did. Me holding my bass and looking like a dork after the performance. :-) During one of the seniors' day trips to the lake, I climbed some rocks.
Of course, this is proof that West Virginia has its share of great views (besides the mountains). I took this one on my way home from VT for the weekend. I noticed this skyline one October evening at VT, and I had to snap it. It's just awesome. I think this is one of the first pictures I took with my camera once I got it. If you hike deep into the forest far enough, you can find great pictures. I don't even remember how far back in the hills I was when I ran across this old path. My newest dog, Biscuit. This and the next five pictures are in Georgia on spring break 2000. The pier that I crawled under is in the distance, looking out onto the lake.
The sun sinking behind some shrubbery. There's a sandbar connecting the "island" to the mainland, and there's two boys playing on the sandbar. I took this one as close to the water as possible. It's closer to dark here, but I'm now on the "island." Just to prove that I actually did go under the pier, and if you were ever curious as to what it looks like under there... The senior class informally took a trip to "the lake"... unfortunately, Mary, Smiley, and I went to the WRONG ONE! The fact that we drove a long time for no reason didn't bother Smiley too much!
Here's Stuart during one of our road trips to who-knows-where. One of mine and Stuart's destinations... Some trick camera work from Stuart. I just thought this was a good picture; the lighting works and everything. Stuart with a self-portrait photo. Here's U.S. 52 during a photo shoot for pictures to use on our second album. Something happened accidentally and it just looks COOL. Here's the Beta convention group in the hall outside our rooms. What a time we had!
Joe and I are passing some time outside the Charleston Town Center by hacking. Joe and I took another road trip to meet some friends from elsewhere in WV. Joe, Sam, and me. Good chatting buddies for years. Ducks!!! Did I tell you about the time my freshman year when our class did an easter egg hunt for the Sunday night program? Stephen got pretty creative with his hiding... This is one of my favorite pictures from last year. It just..speaks for itself. This cloud blotted out half the sky with the threat of an oncoming blizzard.
During Christmas break, after the Gator Bowl trip, it snowed more at home! Here's Annie after she fell while trying to walk in it. My brother, Annie, Jessie, and I got into the act with an inner tube and the Mysterious Pan Thing. Here's Jess with the Mysterious Pan Thing. I also took the opportunity to walk around and snap some neighborhood shots.. this one's looking up toward my driveway. This one is at the top of our hill. Mom took this one between the branches of some trees near our front porch. This is looking toward the forest on our hill.
Taken one night in early May 2002, this is one of my favorite pictures. The flag looks eerie in the green hue... ...and the fog surrounding the street light almost creates a false sense of snow.
